Founder & CEO
ERIC Foote
Eric Foote recently served as PointsBet’s Chief Strategy Officer, where he was responsible for building company strategy and transforming the organization to enable scalability across the U.S. and Canada.
Eric maintained a focus on company profitability and was tasked with establishing a company-wide strategic direction that also translated locally per the needs of PointsBet’s global units. This included annual strategic planning processes for the global business, as well as communication with the PointsBet Board of Directors & investor-facing communities. Foote and his strategy team explored organic growth opportunities involving multi-jurisdictional organization to drive business improvement initiatives, including but not limited to international expansion.
Foote originally joined PointsBet as the company’s Chief Commercial Officer in January 2020, overseeing strategic partnerships, mergers & acquisitions, trading & sports analytics, business intelligence, and assisted with securing the company’s market access portfolio.
Before PointsBet, Eric was Vice President of Business Development & Gaming for CBS Sports, responsible for leading CBS Sports’ strategy and entry into sports betting along with content rights acquisition for live sporting events for Paramount+, securing deals with the UEFA Champions League, the Mountain West Conference, PBR, WSOP, and more.
Following an initial run at CBS Sports as Senior Director of Business Development , Eric was named Vice President of Business Development for Silver Chalice Ventures, (now Stadium) where he spearheaded all business development and strategy initiatives, including opening a Boulder, Colorado office and securing deals with the ACC, Big 12, University of Arkansas, and the University of Kentucky. His career began as an Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs at Pepperdine University where he oversaw the corporate sponsorship , fundraising, media relations, and community relations efforts.
Foote is a native of Iowa and currently resides in Maui with his wife Maggie, and their two children, Cash and Falcon. He attended Wartburg College where he attained a B.S. in business administration and was the captain of the Knights basketball team. He received his Master’s in sports administration from Western Illinois University.

Paul Hannon
Paul recently served for over five years as PointsBet’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Development driving robust new market expansion, government and regulatory affairs, product and business operations, M&A project management, and strategic partnerships. As a cofounder of the U.S. business, working from origination through to its sale to Fanatics, Paul served as a key strategy executive and oversaw the impressive growth achieved by the company on a state by state, product by product basis.
Before PointsBet, Paul was based in Las Vegas, NV serving as Business Development Manager and CEO Analyst at William Hill U.S. He was tasked with mapping and executing on the strategic partnership plan for the company’s U.S. market access expansion in addition to overseeing and reporting on its existing, market leading B2B partner portfolio.
Paul’s depth of understanding and knowledge in U.S. gaming is well regarded within the industry. His reputation as a creative thinker and talented communicator on nuanced subjects and commercial models is widely regarded as a hard-to-find combination of skills in the space. Prior to pursuing interactive gaming ventures, he served in land-based casino resort management roles in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and his hometown of Philadelphia at Parx Casino where he began his career. It was through these work experiences that his unique, expansive relationship network and mind for the business was established.
Paul Hannon currently resides in Philadelphia with his wife and two children. He attended Drexel University where he attained a B.S. in Business Administration and Finance in 2008. He also recently achieved a certification in Authentic Leadership from Harvard Business School in 2023 and enjoys coaching basketball.
